If we were to tell you that yesterday’s Parliamentary session was utter chaos, would you be surprised?

Considering how disorderly our Parliamentary sessions have been for years, we’ve gotten pretty used to the sessions being almost like a circus. But, should it really be that way?

Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim has since advised Members of Parliament (MPs) to behave themselves during the Parliamentary sessions.

Parliament 1

“For the information of the honorable members, please maintain morality of this council and no matter the developments, do not cross the line of etiquette and decency, and respect the rules of the Parliament,”

“This is because we know that these Parliamentary sessions are demanding, we can dissect opinions and we can argue, but we have to protect the honor of this house and not go too far because this will be laughed at by the people and they will see this whole house, as it is called on social media, a circus,” he said.

This comes after yesterday’s first ever Parliamentary session with the newly formed Unity Government erupted into chaos (as per every Parliamentary session in the past) over disagreements between the government and topics brought up by the opposition.

Would you like to see a peaceful and orderly Parliamentary session as compared to the chaotic sessions we’re so used to?

Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
