Calling All PRIMADONNAS! FTISLAND is Returning to KL This November & Here’s What You Need to Know

It’s finally happening, PRIMADONNAS! After their sold-out KL show last year, FTISLAND is making good on their promise, and yes, they’re coming back to Malaysia. This time with all the MAD HAPPY energy!

South Korea’s OG idol rock band is set to hit the stage this 15 November 2025 with their brand-new 2025 FTISLAND LIVE ‘MAD HAPPY’ tour, at Mega Star Arena, KL!

If you’ve caught them live before, you already know, it’s never just a concert. It’s the kind of night that hits you right in the feels. And this time around? They’re stepping things up with a bigger venue and amped-up energy. Keep reading because you do not want to miss this.

1. From “Love Sick” to “Severely”, the boys are back!

In case you need a refresher, FTISLAND (short for Five Treasure Island) debuted way back in 2007, making waves as one of South Korea’s very first idol rock bands. And honestly? They’ve been killing it ever since.

While the K-pop scene was dominated by dance-heavy groups, FTISLAND came in with live instruments, raw vocals, and head-banging anthems. Fast forward nearly two decades, and they’re still going strong.

The group now consists of:

• Lee Hong Gi

There’s a reason fans call him the Prince of Rock. Hong Gi’s vocals hit different, his high notes send chills, and his tone is instantly recognisable. Add in his stage presence and his ability to connect with the crowd, and you’ve got a frontman that’s truly one of a kind.

• Lee Jae Jin

Don’t let his laid-back vibe fool you. As the band’s bassist and occasional vocalist, Jae Jin brings rhythm and soul to every performance. He’s also known for his easy charm and the way he holds down the rhythm effortlessly.

• Choi Min Hwan

Holding it all together at the back, drummer Min Hwan is the heartbeat of FTISLAND. From soft intros to explosive choruses, his timing is always on point, and yes, he makes drumming look way too easy. (Also, is it just us, or can drummers just sit there and still look insanely hot?)

When it comes to their music, FTISLAND’s discography is basically the soundtrack of emotional K-Rock. They debuted with “Love Sick”, a melancholic anthem that immediately put them on the map.

Then came “Severely”, arguably one of their most iconic songs, which is so emotionally intense. And let’s not forget tracks like “Wind”, “I Wish”, and “Pray”, which show off their ability to jump between soft ballads, pop-rock, and stadium bangers.

FTISLAND isn’t just about making music; they tell stories, and they do it with guitars, drums, and a whole lot of soul.

So if last year’s KL show had your heart in pieces, just wait till you see what they’re bringing for the ‘MAD HAPPY’ tour.

2. “MAD HAPPY” = Mad feels + pure joy!

So what’s in store this time? Honestly, tears, goosebumps, and probably losing your voice from all the screaming. It’s gonna be a night full of emotions and that heart-bursting kind of love only FTISLAND can bring.

Their shows are known for being raw, emotional, and completely immersive. It’s two hours where nothing else matters. Just you, the band, and thousands of other fans all feeling the same energy.

Plus, they’re keeping their promise to return to Malaysia to a bigger venue this time (Mega Star Arena, KL), so you know they’re going to go all out.
