Visiting Bukit Bintang soon? If you are, we dare you to look up, as netizens have reported a colossal, hyper-realistic 3D Anaconda “slithering” around the LED screen on the Yayasan Selangor Building near Bukit Bintang’s Golden Triangle crosswalk!

Malaysians never cease to be fascinated by news of sudden sightings or encounters with this reptile, kan? From yards and drains to untended boxes and (heaven forbid) toilet bowls, our news feeds are never short of stories about snakes appearing in the most unexpected places.

But very few (if any) of those stories can measure up to this one!

“Eeeeeeeeeeeee ular!” – The public reacts to the giant snake

Needless to say, the public has been going crazy at the sight of this display, with a wide range of reactions. One food delivery driver spoke about how he got spooked at the sight.

“I was waiting at the traffic light, and I saw it move from the corner of my eye. Almost fell off my motor!” Jefri, 28, said. “The effects are crazy good. Terrer la the giant snake display!”

Xin, 20, on the other hand, regarded the display with a mix of awe and dread. “It’s so cinematic and scary-fun. I actually screamed when it ‘lunged’ forward,” Xin said. “It took my fear of snakes to a bigger scale.” (Note: Xin has not clarified if the pun was intended or not.)

It’s a wild marketing display for the Anaconda movie!

The large snake display is more than just a must-see, limited-time attraction — it’s a marketing feat to promote the biggest must-watch movie of December, Anaconda!

Check out Malaysians’ most attention-grabbing animal on the big screen through Anaconda, slithering into cinemas this 25 December!

We’re sure you’ve heard of, or even watched other “Anaconda” movies before, kan? (The characters in this movie definitely have, but more on that later!)

BUT the latest Anaconda film is shaping up to be more than just another “man versus wild” flick; it has feats that set the movie apart from the others, making it a must-watch!

Here’s what viewers will love about this highly anticipated film!

1. Jack Black 🤝 Paul Rudd, a pair of comedic legends like no other

Stills 01

This is the team-up comedy fans have dreamed of. From the most beloved animated movies and exciting superhero flicks of the past two decades are stars Jack Black and Paul Rudd, who share the screen to bring their brand of chaos in perfect harmony.

The two comedians star as two actors who aspire to remake the original 1997 Anaconda film, Doug (Jack Black) and Griff (Paul Rudd), bringing them to life using Black’s uncle-like, loud-mouthed enthusiasm and Rudd’s dry, witty charm! With their quirky buddy dynamic, this movie will thrive on this duo’s chemistry as the plot unravels with an actual anaconda encounter and ruins their “master” plan to be movie stars. It’s pure comedic gold, promising laugh-out-loud moments from their first misguided idea to their last desperate scream!

2. Intense action that leaves you on the edge of your seat

Stills 02

There’s more than just LOL moments; the movie also features a genuinely thrilling survival story! Taking place in the lush, perilous Amazon, the snake encounters turn into intense, heart-pounding, and awe-inspiring scenes that showcase the terrifying capabilities of the anaconda. Expect jungle chase scenes, narrow escapes, and the desperation of two amateurs caught in a fight-or-flight scenario against a predator straight out of most people’s worst nightmares!

3. An Amazon adventure awaits!

Stills 03

To let you dive directly into the heart of the Amazon, this film demands to be seen on the largest screen possible! From its raging rivers to the dense greenery of the unforgiving jungle floor, the visuals of this film are monumental. Anaconda masterfully turns the Amazon into a character in itself by making the jungle a space of natural beauty hiding unimaginable danger. It’s a truly amazing portrayal of leaving the modern world behind to confront nature itself (albeit with a LOT of comedy ensuing).

Coming soon to cinemas, don’t miss this holiday flick of reptilian proportions!

Check out a glimpse of the insanity that Doug and Griff’s gang are forced to endure in the trailer below:

From comedy moments that will leave you hiss-terical to action and scares that will rattle you in your seat, this movie has all that for you and more! Check out Anaconda in a cinema near you, starting this 25 December! It’ll come out just in time for the holiday season, making for a perfect way to spend your time off with the whole fam!

Once tickets are available for purchase, make sure to grab yours before they’re sold out!
