Previously, it was reported that a bomb exploded in the parking lot of a commercial area in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, at about 6 AM on Monday (22 December). This then led the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to discover several explosives, including a second bomb, which the authorities safely detonated.

Now, it has been revealed that a residence raided in connection with the bombs was being used as a laboratory to produce improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
