One of the biggest road rules in Malaysia (and anywhere, at that) is that one cannot be using their phone while operating a vehicle.

And here’s an example as to why.

The 我们是马来西亚人 We are Malaysians Facebook page took to their profile to showcase a video of a motorcyclist as he rides straight into the back of a stopped car because he was looking at his phone.

They wrote, “Motorcycle rider smoking and playing (on his) phone.”

This incident allegedly took place in front of the Toyota showroom in Kota Bharu, Kelantan.

In the video, the motorcyclist could be seen staring at his phone, with a cigarette in his mouth, as he rides straight into the back of a car. Upon hitting the car, the motorcyclist seemed fine, with the cigarette still in his mouth, as a food truck operator came over to assist.

We genuinely hope that the authorities take notice of this and take the appropriate action against the man for he could have easily hit someone and caused serious harm.
