Attention, fellow Malaysians!

If you registered yourself as a voter recently, you can check your voter status on the SPR website.

Do note that it usually take about 60 days for your name to get enrolled into the list. So if you just registered yesterday, don’t expect it to be up already lah!

For those who do not find their names on the roll:

  • Make a claim using Form B and submit it to the registrar in your designated area during office hours within the display period

It was said that the Election Commission received about 326,905 registrations in the first quarter of 2017. Out of those, 242,691 were new voter registrations while 84,214 were for address changes for voters, according to SPR’s Secretary, Datuk Abdul Ghani Salleh.

The Supplementary Electoral Rolls for Q1 of 2017 will be displayed for 14 days starting from May 9 and ending May 22 in 960 places across Malaysia.

“During the display period, people who have either applied to register as new voters or change their address in January, February and March 2017 are advised to check the electoral roll.”

Be sure to check your voter status on the SPR website as soon as you can! As citizens we can do our part by making sure that we are registered!
