This offer will allow the cyclist to continue his studies via the ‘Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL)’ route which will definitely open up another career pathway for him. According to the UPSI Vice-Chancellor, Prof Datuk Md Amin Md Taff said that this offer can be taken up by the athlete at any time after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics or the 2024 Paris Olympics.

According to Berita Harian, the vice-chancellor also mentioned that success is something dynamic and unique that should be measured holistically. Azizulhasni’s consistent achievements in the Olympics, his fighting spirit and his patriotism prove that the athlete is a prime candidate who should be celebrated in the spirit of educational excellence.

“This is why Azizulhasni needs to be established as a role model in order to inspire more athletes and Malaysians to always be as positive as him.”

Other than that, he has also mentioned that the offer is a sign of respect and appreciation towards Azizulhasni’s outstanding achievements which serves as motivation and inspiration to more than 32 million Malaysians.
