Malaysians are rightfully worried due to the increasing number of Covid-19 cases and Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) being implemented in more areas. Malaysians  over social media have been wondering where did our Health Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba go during these crucial hours?

To ease their curiosities, he spoke during the  Closing Ceremony of the New Norma Cultural Cultivation Town Hall, Desaru, Johor where he said that Malaysians have forgotten SOPs during the RMCO and they can be seen crowding shopping malls and don’t maintain physical distancing in elevators.

“It is as if they are not afraid of death. They are only worried and scared when they hear the case increases and when there is enforcement of the EMCO in certain places.”

Harian Metro reported that the minister said people should be practising new norms at all times and not only when there’s a spike in new cases. Not only that, COMBI (Communication Program for Behavior Change) volunteers who were previously mobilized to fight the dengue epidemic, will now be used to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

These volunteers are used to raise public awareness regarding the norms and SOPs that people need to follow.
