No doubt the water outage during the weekend has affected a lot of lives and businesses alike.

Many people on different social media platforms blew their tops over the whole issue, especially when Air Selangor announced that they will take at least four days to get the water supply back to normal. That was the breaking point for a lot of people, so they vented out their frustrations on the Air Selangor social media accounts.

However, what people do not know is that the people of Lembaga Urus Air Selangor were working hard through the night to ensure that the water is safe for our consumption.

According to Kajang MP Hee Loy Sian’s Facebook post, he said,

“Do you know that when we were all sleeping, the staff and workers of Lembaga Urus Air Selangor (LUAS) were busy testing the water quality of the river to ensure that it is not polluted and safe for use?”

He also mentioned the tests and patrol is done 24 hours a day and 365 days per year.

The odour pollution this time was caused by a heavy-duty vehicle factory workshop in Rawang. It was said that this is not the first time that they committed this heinous crime. Four of the company’s owners have already been remanded.

Regarding the water situation right now, water supply in most of the affected areas are now at least 50% recovered, according to Air Selangor’s latest update.
