Although the country recorded a decline in the number of daily Covid-19 infections, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) still remained the same and we should continue to adhere to them.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob often reminds everyone that compliance with the SOP should be practised by all parties so that the spread of the pandemic can continue to be reduced. One of the SOPs that is compulsory for everyone to follow is the temperature checks and registration before entering a premise. Unfortunately, some of us have taken this lightly with excuses like bad data connection which leads to the inability to use the MySejahtera app properly as well as the hassle of manually writing your details.

However, a picture that has gone viral on WhatsApp and reposted by Masnita Bt Talib shows a creative approach to the problem. To some, this approach by Uncle Ishak might be outdated but by using a rubber stamp with all your necessary details, you could save yourselves from having to pick up a pen that could be contaminated.

Yes to some, using the MySejahtera app is better but we need to consider those who are unable to invest in a workable smartphones which may sometimes not work because of poor data connection. According to the post by Masnita, the person was worried about senior citizens who do not have the means to use the QR code scanner said,
“The cashier told the uncle to write his name manually in the log book. Suddenly he took out something from his pocket and stamped the book with his rubber stamp!”
The post has prompted a lot of praises for the uncle who came up with a solution that some might take lightly.

For us, as long as you are following the SOPs, you are a winner in our books. For uncle Ishak, we salute your creativity in finding a solution for a problem that might be faced by the majority of senior citizens out there!
Memang win, lah uncle!
