RM500-RM1,600 Will Be Given To Malaysians According To These Terms

Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has announced that Malaysians will be receiving financial assistance due to the effects of the Covid-19 outbreak on our economic status, in accordance with his new Economic Stimulus Package.

Our PM took to his Twitter page to further elaborate.

Here’s what Malaysians can expect:

  1. RM1,600 will be given to households with an accumulative income of RM4,000 and below.
  2. RM1,000 will be given to households with an accumulative income of RM4,000 to RM8,000 a month.
  3. RM800 will be given to individuals aged 21 and above with an income of RM2,000 and below.
  4. RM500 will be given to individuals aged 21 and above with an income of RM2,001 to RM4,000 a month.

Each of this is allocated to a certain number of households and individuals. It wasn’t mentioned how these households and individuals will be chosen.

Chosen households will receive the first half of the amount in April and the other half of the amount in May.

We truly appreciate the government stepping during a time like this to monetarily assist their people.
