Looking for a new hiking spot with a breathtaking view? Here’s one that you might not have known was so close to the city!

Located just about 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur, you’ll need to take about a 10-minute hike before you reach BMC Blue Lake. It’s situated in Bandar Mahkota Cheras and boy, what a stunning sight it is! It’s really super blue IRL wei!

We don’t know why it’s that blue either (our guess is as good as yours), but a little bird told us that this place used to be a mining area. I was definitely green with envy when I saw my friends posting up images with that majestic scenery in the backdrop, so much so that I now want to pay this blue lake a visit as well!

Check out how beautiful this blue lake is, even with #nofilter:

If you’re planning to visit this blue lake too, you might want to hurry though because a netizen who just visited the area on 1 May 2019 told WORLD OF BUZZ that the area might already be closed for construction work. Oh no!

A quick check on social media shows that Malaysians were still able to snap some photos at the lake. However, many have said that the public can no longer access the lake as it has been closed by the authorities.

Have you been to this blue lake before it was closed? What other blue lakes have you been to in Malaysia? Share with us in the comments!
