Just last month, everyone went crazy over the fact that White Rabbit ice cream existed. When news of a Los Angeles-based shop serving the classic candy-flavoured treat surfaced, Malaysians also wanted to try it out. Soon, local ice cream joints began serving the flavour here and as expected, it proved to be a hit!

Now, in an attempt to take our taste buds on another walk down memory lane, Waka Waka Gelato, a local ice cream and gelato parlour, has decided to create Haw Flakes-flavoured ice cream. Yes, you read that right!

Waka Waka Gelato has added this classic candy (made from the Chinese hawthorn fruit) as the second item in their Childhood Series inspired by Malaysia’s most loved childhood snacks. This series started off with the White Rabbit flavour.

Needless to say, it looks like this joint has a lot more tricks up its sleeves as they are preparing to unveil another Malaysian childhood snack-inspired flavour pretty soon! What do you think it will be?

Apart from these ambitious flavours, Waka Waka Gelato also serves up a variety of delicious gelato inspired by local flavours you can try like Salted Egg Yolk, Kaya Butter Coconut, Cendol, and Salted Gula Melaka.
