“The most unique wedding in 2018. You won’t get to see this everyday,” said the wedding photographer, Ariffin who posted the pictures on Facebook.

According to him, the newlyweds were from Sarawak while their friends were mostly from Peninsular Malaysia. The difference in race and religion did not stop them from making the wedding a joyful and memorable one! The photographer also said that he hoped there would be more of this kind of weddings in the future.

“This is what we call 1 Malaysia. Even with the difference in race and religions, it didn’t stop these good friends from celebrating one of the happiest days of their friend’s life. There’s nothing sweeter than seeing friends from different backgrounds respecting and tolerating each other’s cultures,” Arifin added.

Unfortunately, such events like this are considered rare right here in Malaysia because of certain racial and religious issues. Instead, we should focus on the beauty of our country which is filled with multiple different races and religions! Spread the love, guys!
