What heartbreaking news!

An innocent 5-year-old child was brutally hacked to death by his very own father who was under the influence of drugs. The incident took place at Flat Puchong Permai in Subang Jaya yesterday (13 August).

According to Subang Jaya district police chief, the authorities had received a call from a member of the public saying that a kid had fallen from the flat and was covered in blood. The police soon arrived at the scene later found out that the kid had been hacked with a parang. Three wounds were found on the kid’s head and right wrist.

The attack is believed to have happened when the kid was sleeping on a mattress in the living room.

“Preliminary investigations showed that the father was hallucinating before carrying out the act. The suspect admitted that he had received an ‘order’ to kill his son in order to become a ‘king’,” Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Azlin said, adding that the deceased was his only son.

“A urine test indicated that the suspect was positive of Methamphetamine. He was arrested at the crime scene and the parang was found at the home.”

Based on the police’s database, the father is a hardcore addict of ‘air ketum‘ and he has one criminal record involving drugs.

The kid’s body has been sent to Hospital Serdang for a post-mortem while the case is now being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code. This news has understandably enraged many Malaysians, with some of them urging the government to take a more strict approach towards drug addicts.

RIP to this little boy.
