M'sian Caught Trying To Avoid Paying Toll, Discovered To Be Owi - World Of Buzz

Based on a report by Berita Harian, a man was caught at the Sungai Besi toll on Monday (June 25) when he tried to pass through without paying for the toll. The incident happened at around 8pm when the driver, a man in his 30s, tried to use the Smart TAG lane but did not want to pay the toll fee.

He was driving a Proton Saga and had followed the vehicle in front of him really closely so that he could accelerate and follow behind when the toll barrier gate lifted. Some of you would have definitely heard or even did this stunt before! Unfortunately for him, this time the trick didn’t work as there was a traffic jam right after the toll, so he could not escape.

The staff at the toll plaza noticed the man’s weird behaviour and decided to stop him as he was still stuck in the congestion in front of him. The staff asked the man to step out of the car and after they checked the car registration plates, it was discovered that the man was a repeat offender who had avoided paying for toll many times, and now owed RM900 in toll fees. Whoa, that’s a lot!

This time around, he wasn’t that lucky and got caught up in a traffic jam so he could not flee from the toll plaza. Ha, kantoi lah! The driver was caught and will be investigated by the toll plaza’s management for further action.

You may think that you are really smart by using this method to avoid paying for tolls but you will still get caught!
