8 police personnel have been arrested after RM500,000 worth of valuables went missing during a raid on a 3-storey bungalow homestay in Bukit Suria, Kajang, Selangor.
The raid took place at 2 AM on August 28 after the Kajang District Narcotics Division received a tip-off about a party at the homestay.

The police immediately sent personnel to the scene and arrested 15 men and women. After taking their statements and running urine tests, all of them were released when results showed none had taken drugs.
Meanwhile, Sinar Harian reported that one of the residents of the homestay later discovered that many valuables were missing when he returned.
He suspected the items had been stolen by the police officers who came to investigate, and he immediately went back to the station to file a report.

Selangor Police confirmed they’re investigating the incident
Selangor Police Chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar confirmed that the police are currently investigating the case under Section 380 of the Penal Code for theft in dwelling house.
According to China Press, the victim claimed that the stolen items amounted to about RM500,000 in value and included:
- An Audemars Piguet watch worth RM300,000
- A necklace worth RM35,000
- HKD15,000 cash (~RM8,129)
- CNY15,000 cash(~ RM8,888)
- RM40,000 cash
- A bottle of perfume
- A pair of LV leather shoes
- Documents
In addition, preliminary investigations showed that the urine test results of the 8 arrested police personnel were negative for drugs.
