Being able to travel is one of life’s luxuries and as millennials, most of us dream of exploring new places and cultures even as we sit at our desks slaving away at our jobs. Then again, a glance at our bank account’s balance brings us back to reality. Why so little money? 🙁

Well, we understand how you feel and that’s why we’ve rounded up a few countries in Asia that are beautiful and also won’t break the bank for you to be able to afford a visit.

We know that accommodation eats up a large portion of your budget so you’ll be glad to know there are actually loads of great, affordable places to stay when you’re there as well! Are you ready to be consumed with wanderlust?

Normally, tourists will land in Kathmandu, which is the country’s capital but it can get rather hectic there so if you don’t want to fight with the crowd, just head over to the second largest city, Pokhara.

This serene town is located near the Annapurna Circuit, which is a popular trekking trail so if you’re feeling adventurous, you can sign up for it too! This nature-filled town has spectacular views of Phewa Lake and moderately sub-tropical temperatures in the summer.

Trekking activities are not cheap but if you are just looking for rest and relaxation, then this is a really affordable alternative!

You’ve probably heard of Angkor Wat but dismissed it as “just another temple”. This is where you’re wrong because this magnificent temple is actually the largest religious monument in the world!

In fact, this temple is the perfect example of the fallen mighty Khmer empire’s architecture. Tourists usually head to Siem Reap just to visit the Angkor Archaelogical park that consists of so many more temples other than the famed Angkor Wat.
