Can’t imagine eating clean without pork? Think again. Refresh your tastebuds with stellar Vietnamese sandwiches, or Bahn Mi, which serves up hearty baguettes filled with signature ingredients like lemongrass, pork, pork pate, pickled radish, carrots, spicy sauces and cilantro. 2. The Ganga Café
Tastebuds in need of a rest from all the Chinese food? Delight your palate with wholesome South Indian vegetarian fare at The Ganga Café that cuts down on MSG and artificial colouring. The menu consists of salads and vegetables, brown rice, biryani, chapattis, detoxifying drinks, and protein-rich vegan side dishes made from chickpeas, spinach, tofu, lentils and beans. We highly recommend a visit to their Sunday Brunch from 10am to 3pm, priced at RM16 per person.

If you’re going carb-free, within the vicinity of Ohbahnmi is another healthy option, The Salad Bar. This eatery might even change your mind about salads being meagre and boring! Not ready to give up your meat and rice? We have a solution: Korean cuisine. 5. Awesome Canteen
(Closet) hipsters out there, you need not forgo trendy cafes, but ditch the cake and pasta if you want to fit your skinnies again. We love the industrial/preppy vibe of Awesome Canteen, but most of all, the paleo corner of their menu. Try their gluten-free (wheat-free) and low carb paleo burger, made of grilled Portobello mushroom buns encasing a thick juicy meat patty a melted cheese, sweet potato wedges, salad, scrambled egg and spicy guacamole.

6. Simple Life
Leave it to Simple Life to make your transition to organic and vegetarian a smooth one. There’s no giving up your old favourites, only that they come in healthier renditions. Nasi lemak is made from extra virgin coconut oil, carrot and cabbage sambal, noodle dishes like laksa and mee sua served with a base of brown rice / millet noodles and lots of veggies, tofu, mushrooms, and last but not least, a hearty, detoxifying lei cha.
