She cleans offices once or twice a week

Huang Yabi, who works as an office cleaner and a miscellaneous worker to make ends meet and support her family, left home around 1 PM that day to clean an office in Perda.

Speaking to reporters, her husband, Yang Jinshan, shared that she usually cleans offices once or twice a week to earn some extra income and spends the rest of her time volunteering at a Buddhist temple.

“My wife was generally healthy and never complained about feeling unwell,” he said.

She had a heart blockage

However, doctors later found that she had a heart blockage, which caused her to pass out and fall into the drain.

When Yang’s kids heard about their mom’s passing, they rushed home right away, with her daughter even flying back from China since she was there for work.

An assistant to Berapit state assemblyperson Heng Lee Lee stopped by the funeral home to offer condolences and provide support, including help with legal matters.
