Most of us have been through such situations, about having a crush or chasing someone who is forever unavailable. Well, truth is, they’re probably just not that into you. There really isn’t any excuses if they really truly wants to be with you. Consciously or unconsciously, here are some of the common excuses we’ve all heard from Malaysians who just weren’t that into us.
1. “I Just Got Out Of A Bad Relationship”
So maybe he/she got cheated on in the past, or their past relationship didn’t end all too well and was afraid to get hurt again. But none of it holds up because every relationship should start with a blank slate, a new start. I’d say, be extra wary of those who always play the “hurt card”. Maybe they just don’t want to have a “thing” with you, and that’s that.
2. “I’m Afraid I Would Hurt You”
“Yeah, as if rejecting me right now would do any less pain….” This is probably one of the most common excuses used to reject someone. ‘A’ for effort for trying to be nice.
3. “I Don’t Deserve You”
They somehow think you deserve someone better than them. Well that is only the case if you’re going to be a douchebag in the relationship or cheat, which you somehow already know might happen. Otherwise, there’s no reason how one person is more deserving than the other as long as you give it your all.
4. “If I Stay With You, I Will Fall For You”
Err yeah….. Is that not the whole point? To be in love in a relationship?
5. “I’m Too Busy For A Relationship Right Now”
No one is ever too busy for anything. It’s all about priorities and their priorities right now is certainly NOT to date you. If that’s the case, I suppose its best you turn around and walk away, or you might just have to wait forever.
6. “I Don’t Know If I Want To Be In A Serious Relationship Now”
This one usually means they are either too cowardly to tell you that they don’t want a relationship with YOU or, really doesn’t want to be in a serious relationship right now with anyone. If you’re getting this excuse, it’s best to let go and move on.
Confessing and getting a confession from someone is never easy, be it a girl or a guy. There’s no simple way to let down someone but be courteous and let them know directly without beating around the bushes.
