We Malaysians are always down for a good time — especially when we’re with our squad and there’s alcohol involved. Sometimes though, an entertaining game/challenge or two can turn a dull night out into an unforgettable one. So, if you’re in need of a little inspiration for your next hangout sesh with your drinking kakis, we’ve got you covered with 5 of our top recommendations.
1. One, two, jus… drink!
Every self-respecting Malaysian confirm played this game at least once during their childhood. If you’ve forgotten the rules, let us jog your memory. Two players begin with one foot in front of the other. After each round of rock, paper, scissors, the winner will have to move his front foot to the back while the loser has to move his front foot forward, touching the winner’s. The game ends when the loser can no longer maintain his balance from splitting his legs. In the PG13 version of this game, the loser would probably have to do a silly punishment. However, now that we’re all adults, we can spice things up a little by having the loser take a shot!
2. Two cups, one teaspoon
The challenge in this game is to test your reflexes. First, have one cup filled with an alcoholic beverage and another empty. For 30 seconds, players will try to transfer as much of the beverage from the filled cup to the empty one using only the teaspoon. After the time limit is up, the player will have to down whatever is left in the filled cup. Good luck, folks!
3. Attached
If you ever wanted to feel ‘closer’ to your friends, then this is the challenge for you. Must be together-gether mah. First, split the group up into pairs and write down body parts onto a piece of paper (i.e. ears, an elbow, left leg, etc.). Then, each pair draws a piece of paper to see what body part they are assigned to. For the rest of the night (or when the game ends), each person will have to stay “attached” to their partner based on the body part they were assigned to. If one pair separates, they have to drink. It goes without saying that the goal of each pair is to try to split the others up!
4. Dice Dare
This game only requires dice and creative minds for a fun night out. Each person picks a number (from 1 to 5) and comes up with a dare (i.e. twerk in the middle of the bar/club, down a bottle of Tabasco, ask the bartender to cabut your bulu hidung, etc.) if another person rolls that number. The catch is, if you were to roll 6 on your turn, you would have to take a shot and do your own dare. Fun times guaranteed ahead!
5. Connor’s Perfect Pour Challenge
If you or any of your friends know everything there is to know about pouring a perfect pint, then this is the challenge for you! What’s more, you’ll even get a FREE pint of stout just by taking part in this sure-win challenge.
