A Malaysian celebrity was arrested by PDRM yesterday during a raid (December 14) in Cyberjaya on suspicion of possessing cannabis.
The unnamed 41-year-old celebrity was found with the drugs at a house and was detained by a team from the Narcotics Crime Investigation Division of the Sepang District Police Headquarters at around 3 PM.
Sepang District Police Chief ACP Norhizam Bahaman said PDRM found 2 clear packets of items suspected to be cannabis.
“We uncovered 2 clear plastic packets of dried leaves, and we suspected it to be cannabis. The total estimated weight of the cannabis is around 60.3 grams,” Norhizam said.
A urine test was conducted, and the celebrity was found to be positive for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), according to reports by Sinar Harian & Astro Awani. The man, however, has no prior criminal record.
The case is being investigated under Section 39A(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
