On May 3 (Saturday), a 29-year-old woman tragically passed away after falling off a parking lot at Queensbay shopping mall in Penang.
According to Southwest District Police Chief ACP Sazalee Adam, the mall’s police booth received a report about the incident shortly after it happened, as reported by Sin Chew Daily.

She fell from the 7th floor
Sazalee said the woman’s body was found in the unloading area of the plaza, where criminal investigators, the Queensbay Police Chief, and forensic officers were present.
He said the woman was believed to have fallen from the 7th floor of the building, and her personal belongings were later found in her car.
Further investigations revealed that she had left her home at around 9 AM that day. The last known contact with her family was at noon, when she messaged them asking them to buy food for her.
A supermarket worker who was driving towards the unloading area inside the plaza said they saw the woman fall around 12:44 PM.

She was supposed to go on her honeymoon
Meanwhile, China Press reported that the victim had just gotten married. According to a friend, she had already packed her bags and was supposed to go on her honeymoon the next day (May 4).
The friend also said that the hotel and other travel plans had already been confirmed, adding that the deceased couldn’t have taken her own life.
Sazalee added that the victim’s body was later taken to the Balik Pulau Hospital mortuary. An autopsy confirmed that she died from multiple injuries sustained in the fall.
