A 25-year-old woman was found dead inside her car in an alley behind a house on Jalan Scientex, Senai, on June 17.
According to Kulai District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Tan Seng Lee, they were alerted to the discovery around 6:20 AM, when the woman’s body was found in the driver’s seat, as reported by Sinar Harian.

She had burned charcoal inside the car
Lee further revealed that the woman is believed to have taken her own life due to family issues, and her body was only discovered after police received information about the incident from the public, according to the Malaysia Gazette.
Initial investigations indicated that she had burned charcoal inside the car, based on the condition of the vehicle.
So far, there are no records suggesting the unemployed victim had any history of mental health issues.
“She is believed to have travelled from Segamat to meet her husband,” he added.

Investigations are still underway
Lee noted that investigations are still ongoing to determine the exact cause of death, and the victim’s body has been sent to the hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The case is currently classified as a sudden death (SDR).
