A 23-year-old woman, who was riding a motorcycle in Langkawi, Kedah, met her demise in an accident while trying to evade a cow that was crossing the road.
The fatal accident took place on Jalan Ulu Melaka on Friday night (7 November), and the victim, Siti Sarah Hana Mohamad Subri, was pronounced dead at the scene due to head injuries.

Langkawi District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Khairul Azhar Nuruddin, said the police received information regarding the accident at approximately 11:40 PM.
Initial investigations found that the victim was riding a motorcycle from Ulu Melaka towards Ayer Hangat before losing control and skidding when trying to avoid a cow that was crossing from the left shoulder of the road to the right.
As a result of the incident, the victim fell and suffered serious head injuries. The victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident, and the body was taken to the Sultanah Maliha Hospital Forensic Unit for a post-mortem.
According to Khairul Azhar, the victim, who is also a headscarf trader, was from Kampung Seberang Terus, Kota Kuala Muda, and had a valid driving license until January 2026, reported Sinar Harian.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
