For those who live in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, do take note. Two additional buildings have been cordoned off by authorities and put under lockdown, according to reports from Sin Chew Daily Astro Awani and China Press.

The buildings, Flat Selangor Mansion and Flat Malayan, were blocked earlier this afternoon by members of the police and the military.

Both buildings are located roughly seven-minutes walking distance away from the first building in Kuala Lumpur to be put under the Enhanced Movement Control Order, Menara City One, where over 17 people tested positive for Covid-19 According to The Star, over 15 people in these low-cost flats have contracted Covid-19.

“Given the number of cases, the Government, as advised by the Health Minister, has decided to execute the fourth directive of the enhanced MCO. The enhanced MCO involves around 6,000 residents in 365 residential and commercial units in the buildings.” said the Defense Minister over the Enhanced Movement Control Order.

This period of Enhanced Movement Control will begin from today (7th April 2020) and last until all residents are screened. At present, additional details have yet to be released to the press at this time.
