Our Covid-19 front liners are some of the biggest heroes out there, working and braving the virus – and also the heat. Being a front liner means that they will potentially come into contact with the virus at some point in time.
At about 2pm today, the Health Director-General has taken to Facebook to shed more light on the dangers of being a front liner.
In the Facebook post, he writes,
“As of today, 12 MOH healthcare workers and 3 from the private healthcare sector have been infected by the COVID-19 virus. One of them is in the ICU, needing respiratory support.”
He continues on and says that the Covid-19 knows no boundaries, race, religion, wealth status, etc. They are not kind or forgiving to anyone and this affects the front line workers even more.
As the Health Director-General does not want to see any more of his precious people succumb to the virus, he says,
“Please help us to help you. Stay at home.”
As informed citizens, we should all take the Movement Control Order seriously and practice social distancing religiously! If you are unclear about the order then you can call the hotline @ 03-88882010.
