Zero Healthcare Sdn. Bhd. (Zero™ Healthcare) and the Paralympic Council Malaysia (PCM) have officially partnered up recently after signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 9 July 2024 at the Pusat Kecemerlangan Paralimpik Kg. Pandan in Kuala Lumpur. This partnership marks a significant milestone in championing Malaysia’s Paralympic athletes as they gear up for the Paralympic Games Paris 2024, while also elevating public awareness and recognition of these amazing athletes.

Co-signed by Tommy Tham, Managing Director of Zero Healthcare Sdn. Bhd., and Dato’ Sri Megat D. Shahriman Bin Dato’ Zaharudin, President of the Paralympic Council Malaysia, this MoU signifies each party’s commitment to boost support for Malaysia’s para-athletes, ensuring they are equipped to go for gold at the global stage.

“But what does Zero™ Healthcare do?”

For those who are unfamiliar with the brand, Zero™ Healthcare is a prominent Malaysian company established in 2011 that specialises in the marketing and retailing of health and wellness equipment such as massage chairs, electronic massagers, treadmills and gym equipment.

The brand has not only made its mark locally but has also expanded its presence to Singapore, Brunei, Pakistan and the UAE. In fact, the brand boasts 54 branches in Malaysia alone, including Sabah and Sarawak! To add to their accolades, Zero™ Healthcare was recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records in 2020 for achieving the highest annual online sales record for treadmills (which is just one out of many benchmarks they’ve reached in the health and wellness sector)!

To commemorate their partnership with PCM, a series of events was held involving the health and wellness brand, including the formal MoU Signing Ceremony which marked their official collaboration. Plus, the event highlighted the countdown of 50 days to the upcoming Paralympic Games and unveiled the new attire for Malaysia’s para-athletes, showcasing the nation’s pride and unity.

Here’s how Zero™ Healthcare supports our para-athletes!

To provide support, Zero™ Healthcare has committed to providing healthcare equipment and financial rewards to Malaysia’s para-athletes. Each athlete will receive a Majestic Massage Chair worth RM10,000.00, presented as a token of gratitude to their parents for their unwavering support. (In the words of the MC during the MoU Signing Ceremony: “Saya nak jugak! ?”)

Furthermore, medalists will be awarded in cash, too! RM10,000.00 will be given to Gold Medalists, while RM5,000.00 will be awarded to Silver Medalists, and RM3,000.00 for Bronze Medalists. This initiative aims to motivate both the medalists and the runners-up, recognising their dedication and hard work to prepare for the Paralympics.

And to ensure optimal performance during the competition, Zero™ Healthcare is sponsoring each para-athlete with a uCuddle Travel Massage Pillow and a PhysioPro Massage Gun. To top all of these initiatives off, Zero™ Healthcare will also contribute financially on a monthly basis to PCM, aiding the development of aspiring athletes from less fortunate backgrounds!

All in all, the total sponsorship value from Zero™ Healthcare amounts to RM501,960.00, which includes:

  • Advertisements to support Malaysia’s para-athletes
  • Medal winners’ rewards
  • Monthly contributions to PCM
  • Product sponsorship for every athlete
  • Promotional and support visuals at all branches in Malaysia
  • Personal story videos for each Gold Medalist

Now that’s the kind of support we love to see for our nation’s para-athletes! ?

More than just sports and games; Zero™ Healthcare wants to celebrate family and community!

A notable highlight of the partnership is the sponsorship of massage chairs for each para-athlete, extending appreciation to the parents and family members who have been instrumental in their journey to the 2024 Paralympics. This act acknowledges the critical role of familial support in the athletes’ pursuit of excellence, emphasising that their achievements are a result of collective action by family members.

This further proves that Zero™ Healthcare is dedicated to increasing the visibility and recognition of Malaysia’s Paralympic athletes through extensive promotion and advertising. This effort not only supports the athletes but also seeks to manifest a deeper appreciation and wider recognition for their contributions, all while inspiring future generations!

Thanks to this special partnership between Zero™ Healthcare and PCM, Malaysians can be confident that these extraordinary individuals will continue to bring pride and honour to our nation. MALAYSIA BOLEH! ???
