It’s truly a sad moment for 90s kids!

Chili’s Malaysia announced on 10 March that they will be closing their very first flagship store located at Bangsar Shopping Centre after a memorable 27 years.

They extended their gratitude to all their customers over the past years for their overwhelming support.

It's been an awesome 27 years for Chili's at Bangsar Shopping Centre. We'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our guests in Chili’s Bangsar Shopping Centre for your support over the years. We're sadly saying goodbye to our very first flagship store. Drop by for one last time before 31 March to say goodbye as we will be permanently closing Chili's Bangsar Shopping Centre outlet soon.

“We’re sadly saying goodbye to our very first flagship store. Drop by for one last time before 31 March to say goodbye!”

Facebook users are still having a hard time accepting the news and expressed their disappointment that the branch will be closing. For a lot of them, this place was their childhood and it is where they used to lepak with their friends after class.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Moonie said how Chili’s Bangsar was a treat meal whenever her family came down to Kuala Lumpur and welcome relief for her and her siblings from rice.

“Thinking of Chili’s makes me nostalgic for the times that were simpler but joyful.”

Lyn, on the other hand, said Chili’s Bangsar was more than a restaurant, in fact, it was her childhood and some of her fondest memories were at the restaurant during family movie night.

“My siblings and I would doodle on the free kids’ puzzles with crayons and always opt for the Bottomless pit drinks and refillable nachos. RIP Pepper Pals, you will be missed!”
