Recently, several Chinese tourists had a heated argument inside a moving cable car on Penang Hill. Despite hailing from the same country, the argument quickly led to insults and discrimination.

Two women, who occupied the front seats of the cable car, were ready to film the ride, with their phones ready in their hands. According to a viral Weibo post, both Chinese women, who “secured” the best spot to film the view at the front, were disrupting the viewing experience for other tourists at the back.

Other tourists were unable to take photos as both women at the front had blocked the entire view, which triggered the argument.

The situation quickly escalated when one of the women in front yelled,

“Stop talking! Don’t touch me!”

The man at the back then condemned the women in the front, saying that they both were an embarrassment to China and “have problems with their brains.”

The woman in front then responded by saying, “Shanghai people are notorious throughout China because they lack standards!” The woman in black, who was at the front, also attempted to “intimidate” the man with her aggressive expression, but to no avail.

“I don’t see those from Beijing doing any better!” the man hit back.

The man saw no other choice but to raise his phone higher and stand behind the woman, so that he could film the view.

The tourists were arguing back and forth and muttering continuously, and both sides refused to give in. Even when the cable car arrived at the destination, they were still behaving aggressively towards each other before both finally left the cable car.

The video, however, did not disclose when the incident took place.
