The popular series Squid Game took over all social media platforms at an alarming rate. When we were binge watching the series, we wondered if we will be able to ace the games in the series.

Taking that train of thought, an outdoor dessert cafe in Penang named 甜园 Tian Yuan is now offering their customers a chance to play three of the games that were featured in that series and they include the ddakji challenge, dalgona challenge and the marble challenge.

No, they do not have that doll there.

Since these three games do not require any big props, they can be played at the side of the table. If you would like to play the ddakji challenge, you can choose from the regular-sized tile and the small-sized one. The cafe says that the smaller one is easier to flip!

As for the marble game, you will need to pay a deposit of RM2 for the marbles. Your goal is to get 10 marbles from your opponent and when you’re done playing the game, your deposit will be returned to you when you return the marbles! So, don’t lose your marbles!

As for the most popular game in the series, the cafe offers the dalgona challenge as well where you try to poke the a star shape out of brittle caramel. One dalgona “cookie” costs RM2 but if you are able to get the star out successfully, then it’s free of charge and you get RM4.56 off from your total bill. There is a limited quantity available in a day.

  • Weekends: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
