His Royal Highness the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al Mustafa Billah Shah is known for his generosity and humility. He previously donated 5 fiber boats to the people in Pekan, Pahang in preparation for the monsoon season and was spotted having lunch with his family at a KFC outlet while mingling with customers.
Yesterday, His Majesty gifted a disabled (OKU) man and his family in Kampung Tanjung Pulai, Pulau Manis, Pekan, Pahang a new house.
The house was donated through the Yayasan Al-Sultan Abdullah (YASA) House Donation Program and the recipient, Mohd Khairi Othman, expressed his gratitude to His Majesty for his generosity in giving him a house.
Istana Negara in a Facebook post said that Mohd Khairi “described (the) gift as very valuable and meaningful to him and his family”.
Later, His Majesty also spent some time talking to the recipient and his family as they inspected the house together.
The house on stilts has three rooms and was built taking into account the needs of Mohd Khairi, who uses a wheelchair due to disabilities in both his arms and legs.
“Hopefully the donation of this house can ease their burden, provide comfort and improve their standard of living after losing their home due to the flood disaster“, the Facebook post reads.
We hope Mohd Khairi and his family will be able to make full use of the new house!
