The total Covid-19 cases in Malaysia has exceeded 1 million, with 17,045 new cases recorded today (25 July 2021), another all-time high.
After many months being in one form of lockdown or another, Malaysia saw a rise in its Covid-19 cases, especially within the Klang Valley. As of today, there are 1,013,438 total Covid-19 cases in the country.
Selangor and Kuala Lumpur recorded 8,500 and 2,045 cases respectively, taking up more than half of the total new cases today. There were 1,216 new cases in Kedah and 950 new cases in Johor. Perlis, which previously has only a single digit of new cases daily, also reported 10 new cases today.
On the bright side, there are a total of 16,904,896 doses of vaccine administered as of 24 July 2021, and the vaccination process in Klang Valley is also speeding up. Other than adhering to the government’s SOPs, please do register for the vaccine as well to help achieve herd immunity.
However, do not attend your vaccination appointment if you are under quarantine, waiting to get tested, waiting for test results or if you have any symptoms. Please protect yourself and the people around you.
