For some people, the lottery is a life-changing thing. However, for this woman, it seems that she was destined to NOT win the lotto.

It was reported by Sina and Sin Chew Daily that a woman in Taizhou, China, named Miss Ai had recently gotten her hand on a winning lottery ticket but she was unable to claim the price as the ticket was in pieces!

On March 22, 3 couples, including Miss Ai and her husband, went out to have dinner together. As the men were drinking, the women felt bored and went to a nearby lottery shop.

There, they bought a scratch ticket and won 100 yuan (RM65) and were so happy. So, each of the women bought a lottery ticket.

They even joked that if someone within themselves won the lottery, they should build a big house so that all of them could live together.

When the next day came and the lottery results were announced, Miss Ai realised that her ticket was the winning ticket.

However, she soon realised that the ticket was in her pants and already in the laundry! The worst part was that her laundry had been washed 3 times as her family members thought that she did not wash them.

“The lottery ticket was destined to be shredded to pieces!” the woman said.

Miss Ai did not give up as well and called the lottery centre to ask whether she could claim the prize, however, they said that only the bearer of the complete ticket can claim the money.

To deal with this loss, Miss Ai said: “I can’t think about it. It hurts just thinking about it. How can someone not be heartbroken (over this)?”

Well, we’re sure that Miss Ai will be emptying her pockets every time she puts her pants into the wash from now on.
