We can hardly resist our favorite food. When times are tough, some people cope by visiting their preferred eateries to feast on their favorite food, and a woman in China found solace in the famous hotpot chain, Haidilao.

But here’s the thing. She enjoys the hotpot so much that in 9 years, she spent a whopping RM175,000 on the hotpot alone! Let’s put the money aside and take a moment to wonder, has she ever got bored eating the hotpot?

On average, the woman visited Haidilao for 5 months every time, and in 9 years.

The woman, Ms Kong said that she has registered as a member since 9 years ago when she 1st visited Haidilao. She also said that her highest record is that she has tried to eat Haidilao 12 times a week. This means, that on some days, Ms Kong had lunch and dinner with the same meal. This is how she tells the world that she’s a big fan of Haidilao, without actually saying she loves Haidilao.

She also posted a screenshot showing that she had collected various medals in the Haidilao App.

“I even choose to eat at Haidilao for family gatherings & company dinners. I feel very satisfied when seeing the increase in consumption.”

Despite the companion, Ms Kong admitted that most of the time, she dines all by herself, based on the video shared on Weibo.

“This is just my expensive hobby,” she said.

Fellow Malaysians, especially if you’re a huge fan of hotpot, do you see yourself frequenting any hotpot restaurants as much as Ms. Kong? Well, the weather recently is perfect for a hotpot meal, so are you up for this challenge?
