So, if you haven’t checked WhatsApp recently, you’d be surprised to find that the app is currently down for many users across the world!

Earlier today, you might have experienced a lot of difficulty connecting to the app. Our WhatsApp was taking about five minutes to connect at one point!

According to various news sources, it seems like we’re not the only ones affected by this, as some users from countries like Ireland, Russia, Czech Republic, Israel, Spain, Kenya, Turkey, Italy, Egypt and Serbia are also experiencing the same thing.

If you check downdetector.com, you’ll see that there have been about 950 reports about WhatsApp in the past hour. Channel NewsAsia stated that the app was experiencing issues at around 3.42pm today (3rd November).

For those still experiencing connection problems, the “Help” section of the app displays a pop-up message informing users that its services are currently down.

Meanwhile, people have taken to other social media platforms like Twitter to see if they were the only people experiencing problems with the app.
