This recent weekend, a Malaysian woman gave birth outside the stadium in Bukit Jalil before Jay Chou’s show started. The historic moment was witnessed by many concertgoers who patiently waited to enter the premises.

The woman’s husband, who is a chef, revealed that his wife and the newborn daughter are currently safe, but since the baby was not born in the hospital’s delivery room, she is currently under observation in an isolation ward.

The man, who is a Chinese national from Chongqing, said that he knew his wife would not let go of Jay Chou’s tickets, which were hard to secure, reported China Press. He also said his wife is expected to be discharged from the hospital today (October 29).

He also said that he was well aware of all the blessings that netizens had given his wife and newborn, particularly those who were there at the stadium and witnessed the scene. Despite knowing the fame and attention that his wife is getting now, the man made it clear that he had never expected this matter to go viral and certainly hoped the matter would be over soon.

“The baby was born under special circumstances, but no one wants this kind of thing to happen, and my wife already had a hard time during her pregnancy. I hope the matter will be over soon, and I don’t want her to be disturbed at this stage.”

Now, here comes the name part. To those who expected the baby’s name to be related to the Taiwanese singer, the father has answered the question once and for all.

Her name is NOT related to Jay Chou.

“However, Jay Chou’s concerts are rare. If he comes again in the future, we would still buy tickets!”

Congratulations to the couple for the newborn!
