Water Supply Restored To 26% Of Affected Areas In The Klang Valley

26% of the total areas affected by water disruption from 14th  to 17th July have been fully restored as of 9pm yesterday (15th June).

According to Bernama, Elina Baseri, Head of Corporate Communications for Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn. Bhd., the water supply has been restored in 74 disturbed areas while for the remaining 216 areas, work is still under progress.

Currently, the percentage of restoration in Kuala Langat is at 75%, Gombak at 73%, Shah Alam/Klang at zero per cent, Petaling at 49% and Kuala Lumpur at 18%.

Elina Baseri stated in her statement that efforts on water distribution system is constantly being worked on to quicken the process of recovering the supply to all affected areas.

For those who have their water restored, Elina advised them to let the water flow to clear off any foreign substances like residual sediments.

290 areas in Petaling, Klang, Gombak, Kuala Langat and Kuala Lumpur, totalling up to a total of 420,000 account holders were informed about the water disruption schedule. This is caused by the upgrading process of at Sungai Selangor Phase 3 Water Treatment Plant (LRA SSP3).
