Taking to TikTok, influencer seonma_shin showed her favourite Malaysian vegetables that she could not find in Malaysia.
Covering common Malaysian vegetables but a rarity in Korea, she covered items like bitter gourd, petai, winged beans, small chillies, long beans, water spinach, okra and spring onion.
Here is a video of her in action.
“When I first came to Malaysia, I did not like bitter gourd and I’m sure most Koreans too because of its bitter taste.”
“But I’ve grown to love it especially when it is paired with salted egg or when it is deep fried like how the Indians do it.”
When her camera spotted the petai or stink bean, here is what she had to say.
“I really love this especially when it is combined with shrimp to make sambal petai udang.”
“I don’t know why they call it ‘smelly bean’, when it should be called ‘smell good bean’.”
Focusing on other veges, she spoke on how she loves to pair them with sambal, and eat them as they are.
Not bad!
