Living in Malaysia means that we come face-to-face with road bullies on the daily.
In the most recent case, our Prime Minister’s daughter, Nurul Ilham Anwar met a road bully when she was driving on the highway.
She shared this incident on her Twitter page with a 14-second video as proof. Nurul Ilham says that she doesn’t usually post about these things but she felt inclined to do so as she felt bullied.
“This car kept on pressing the brakes on the fastest lane. Super dangerous and I had my 2 year old with me. Was there for a good 1 minute before she (yes, she) changed to the next lane.”
She added that it started when the driver of the green Proton honked at her for “going towards the Touch N Go lane.”
“I have signaled to go to the left, but I didn’t see any signal of her going right (towards Smart Tag lane). Guess she was mad about that.”

Netizens were angered by the actions of the green Proton driver but they criticised the PM’s daughter as well.
According to BERNAMA, the police have started their investigations on this case.
Serdang Police Chief ACP A. Anbalagan said, “Both drivers, including Nurul Ilham, were called up to record their statement while the case was investigated under Section 6(2) of the Road Traffic Rules (LN) 166/1959 for an offence of overtaking and obstructing traffic.”
Members of the public with information on this case are encouraged to contact the traffic department of the Serdang police station to assist in investigations.
