Our malls go all out for decorations for various festive periods, and it seems like it’s not just something we locals are amazed at but something even foreigners are impressed by.

Not long ago, an American couple took to TikTok to express their amazement at experiencing Christmas in Malaysia.

Being a Muslim-majority country, just like those before them, the foreign couple got the shock of their lives when they took a first look at how Christmas is celebrated at Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur, and it brought tears to their eyes.

In the video, they could be heard saying to one another, “This is so nice, isn’t it? Are you crying? It just looks so pretty. This makes you feel Christmas-sy, doesn’t it?”

Complete with Christmas carols and a merry-go-round, this couple shared that almost all the malls they’ve visited were going big for Christmas.

Frequenting all the top shopping hotspots, including Genting Highlands, now you know how crazy Malaysians will go for any holiday that contributes to spending long weekends at home or travelling up and down the country.
