If it hasn’t already been mentioned enough, Malaysians are advised time and time again during this Movement Control Order period to stay at home. Prevention at this point, really is better than cure and in order to protect ourselves from Covid-19.

However, the packed roads would suggest otherwise! And apparently, even the Malaysian police agree, according to The Star.

Bewildered by the heavy amount of traffic flow in parts of Selangor, especially in the Puchong area, state police chief Comm Datuk Noor Azam Jamaludin has expressed concern over the increasing amount of traffic seen on public roads yesterday (14th April 2020).

“The MCO is still in effect so we don’t understand why there are still many people on the road.

“Our roadblocks and deployment of personnel are still the same,” he said.

Comm Datuk Noor Azam Jamaludin has reminded that for those who are caught violating the MCO during this crucial period, strict action will be taken immediately upon them.

“The people are supposed to stay at home during the MCO except those involved in essential services.” he reminds, in referring to a video that showed massive traffic jams outside of a highway in Puchong yesterday, which has since gone viral.

What do you guys think about this development?
