A video is currently going viral online showing a heated argument over who is allowed to use a skatepark.
The ISU SEMASA VIRAL X page shared the video, expressing the belief that everyone, including those who rollerblade and ride bicycles, should be allowed to use such facilities.

The account wrote, “Skateparks are not just for people who skateboard. [They are also for] kids who rollerblade and ride bicycles.”
In the video, a man and a woman can be heard yelling at each other, allegedly over children colliding while using the park.
“Use at your own risk”
While some debated whether skateparks should be exclusive to skateboarders, others pointed out that, regardless of the sport, users should be tolerant of one another and participate at their own risk.
Many netizens also highlighted that parents must supervise their children at all times in these areas.

“Take care of your children instead of getting angry when they collide. Skateboarding is categorised as an extreme sport.”

“This is more towards a safety concern. It’s true what the guy is yelling about. Skateparks are not the same as bicycle paths. If anything happens to your children, you should bear the responsibility yourself.”

“To me, skateparks are not playgrounds. It’s dangerous when children are allowed there without supervision. Yes, it’s a public space but there are etiquettes in public spaces.”

“[Anyone] can play there, but at their own risk. If a [skate] deck goes flying and hits your child on the head, don’t be bitter.”
