Haiyaaaaa…
Uncle Roger is an iconic persona that many Malaysians know about. Recently, the orange polo tee wearer got his Weibo account banned after he posted a video of one of his stand-up shows.
He uploaded that clip with the caption: “Uncle Roger about to get cancelled.”
In the video, he asks a fan where he is from, and the fan then said that they are from Guangzhou, China.
Nigel Ng then repeated that China is a good country before making a pained expression.
He continued by saying, “We have to say that now, huh? All the phone(s) (are) listening. This nephew got (a) Huawei phone, they (are) all listening.”
The comedian then imitated a person talking to their phone strapped to a belt and repeated: “Long live President Xi.”
“Uncle Roger social credit score going up. Nice.”
The Malaysian-born then asked the audience if there is anyone from Taiwan and when they said yes, he said, “Not a real country. Hope one day you rejoin the motherland. One China.”
Nigel Ng then said that he will be cancelled after the show and asked an audience member to write a good report for him, “Dear CCP, Uncle Roger good comrade. Don’t make him disappear please.”
Well, it’s no coincidence that after the clip was posted, his Weibo account has been banned.
“Due to violation of relevant laws and regulations, the user is currently banned.”
