Animal cruelty is one of the absolutely worst things you can do as these harmless creatures are often helpless and voiceless against any despicable acts done unto them. Recently, two men in Taman Gombak Ria, Batu Caves were caught on camera killing a pregnant stray cat seemingly just for fun at a laundry shop yesterday night (September 11).

A Facebook post by Malaysia Animal Association condemned the men’s actions but the post has since been taken down. However, the video of the CCTV footage has been shared by other people as well. It featured CCTV footage of the two men who were customers at the laundry shop and they were doing their laundry before they killed an innocent animal.
The almost three-minute-long video showed the two men finishing up with their laundry and looking like they wanted to leave the store. Suddenly, one of the men wearing long pants spots the stray cat under the table and proceeds to carry the cat and put her in the dryer while the other man in shorts helps him open the dryer. Seriously, did the cat even disturb you?

They continued folding their clothes while the poor cat was in the dryer. At this time, the dryer has not been activated and they even walked back to look at the cat trapped inside. Both of them go off-camera for about one minute before coming back with a handful of coins.
They started putting the coins into the dryer while the helpless cat was still trapped inside and proceeded to start the machine. In fact, they seemed to be enjoying the cat’s predicament and slow death so much that they walked away but decided to turn back and take a look once again as they were laughing and joking with each other. Very fun meh to bully and torture animals?

The horrible men then leave the shop after they are satisfied that the poor cat is trapped inside the dryer, dying a slow and painful death. It was reported by Berita Harian that a shocked customer found the cat’s body and her dead babies in her tummy, covered in blood the next morning at 10.30am. RIP kitties 🙁
The president of the Malaysia Animal Association, Arie Dwi Andika said that they were strongly condemning the men’s actions and had made a police report about the senseless animal cruelty. Arie said three men had been in the shop to wash their clothes but two of them decided to torture the cat to death.

The laundry’s management staff had contacted the Malaysia Animal Association to get advice on this issue before making a police report based on the CCTV footage as evidence. They had also lodged a report with the Department of Veterinary Services Malaysia for further action.
The men are believed to be local and live nearby the laundry shop as they are discovered to be regulars. The police said that they will also be investigating the case under Section 428 of the Penal Code.
This is truly horrible and outrageous to do something like that to an innocent animal! What has the cat ever done to you?
