Earlier this month, a Japanese man opened a Nasi Kandar restaurant, Zero Two Nasi Kandar Tokyo, in Tokyo, Japan, after he had fallen in love with the flavours of the Malaysian meal when he visited Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
Now it appears that the eatery’s business is booming as there is constantly a line outside the store and they’re always selling out!
“Thank you for visiting us! Sold out today! We are sorry for the customers who are planning to come! We look forward to seeing you again,” they wrote in a notice on their Instagram page.
The food appears to be soo good, that it sells out before closing time!
“This is Zero Two Nasi Kandar Tokyo! It was before closing today, but the food sold out. Thank you,” they wrote in another post.
Japanese Heart shared that Zero Two Nasi Kandar Tokyo serve at least 6 types of curries and just like Malaysian Nasi Kandar, it comes with choices of a variety of dishes including raita, duck masala, lamb cutlets, prawns and squids, just to name a few (and to get you hungry!).
And their food sure as hell looks amazing too!
We’re so glad to see how the Japanese people are truly enjoying our local Nasi Kandar, so much so that it sells out faster than you can say ‘kuah banjir‘!
