Taking place at the Main Street Commissary Cafe at 81 Rowell Rd in Singapore, this heartbreak-themed exhibition showcases all the emotions one goes through when dealing with a breakup.

Created by the aforementioned cafe and digital publisher Our Grandfather Story (OGS), the exhibition is happening from now until the end of April 2023. In a TikTok video, the creators show you the various sections and activities available at the Ex-hibition.

The caption of the TikTok video elaborated,

“Introducing ‘The Ex-hibition’ – a journey through the messy and beautiful process of moving on. Explore the complex emotions of heartbreak and rediscovery in this collaborative showcase…

“Through various art installations, including a letter board and conversational prompts, visitors are invited to reflect on their experiences of love and loss.”

Speaking of which, the most interesting section has got to be the “memory-dump” where people can let go of their past and donate items belonging to their ex.

The section literally lets you throw away the items into a bin, though instead of going to the garbage, the items can be taken by other visitors of the Ex-hibition.

Besides that, there’s also an entire wall of unsent love letters written by visitors to encourage them to let their feelings out by writing everything they wanted to say to their ex.

Another section allows users to share their own personal text messages with their ex on an installation called “Text From Exes”. Visitors can share the messages with Main Street Commissary’s Instagram accounts and it will be displayed on a computer screen within the section.
