Mohamad Zain Saidin, the husband of 51-year-old Malaysian celebrity Rozita Che Wan, has commented on the ongoing controversy regarding his wife’s unpaid debt of nearly RM1 million to Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), denying claims by the public that the family has been keeping their silence on the issue.

Instead, the 40-year-old actor asserted that he has been busy trying to earn money, with Zain now in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, to sell his perfume products.

Zain said his family has been working hard amidst the controversy

According to Harian Metro, Zain stressed that they have not been staying still doing nothing, as selling perfumes via TikTok was also part of their efforts.

He added,

“We have actually been putting in the effort. Not just relaxing and ignoring everything that had happened. We just haven’t told anyone about our efforts.”

Zain said they never meant to flaunt wealth

Besides that, Zain also responded to allegations by the public that his wife has been flaunting wealth while being in debt with MARA.

He clarified that they never meant to flaunt or show off wealth but instead considered them as blessings.

For context, Rozita and her son, Ammar Effendy, have failed to repay their loan to MARA worth nearly RM1 million since 2017.
