PDRM confirmed that the suspect who allegedly threw a 44-year-old woman off a van on KESAS Highway near Awan Besar R&R yesterday (May 6) had been nabbed.

The suspect, who is also the woman’s husband, was arrested yesterday at Bandar Kinrara, Puchong, around 6 PM, said Cheras District Chief Police, Assistant Commissioner Aidil Bolhassan.

The 50-year-old man admitted that he was verbally arguing with his wife in the vehicle while they were heading home.

“At the time being, we are investigating if the victim jumped out of the vehicle, or if she was pushed out, as well as the motive.”

Aidil also said that a urine test was conducted on the suspect, who was then found positive for three drugs – methamphetamine, amphetamine, and benzo. The suspect claimed that his deceased wife also took the drugs.

According to Aidil, the suspect and the victim were married for 20 years and have 2 children. PDRM is currently seeking the court’s order to remand the suspect.
